Th is chapter focuses on the potentially interesting key concepts of electrical and optical properties. Electrical properties must be taken into consideration and understood for diff erent applications. It takes eff ort to functionalize polyoxymethylene (POM) with specifi c properties such as conductivity, dielectric properties, etc. In the case of optical properties, the transmission of light propagates through the material and its states of polarization may change. Due to growing commercial interest in POM, it is necessary to have an intimate interplay of optical properties.
