“…This is in line with the conclusions made by Bahrami et al (2010) and Makkar (2003) who pointed out that the intake of tannin-rich plants can reduce the intake (consumption) of feed. In a study by Molosse et al (2021) carried out with suckling lambs fed with the addition of grape residue flour (2%), an increase in concentration of glucose was observed in the blood. The authors linked this to grape flour supplementation which possibly altered a microbe's composition and increased the propionate production and availability of glucose precursors in the liver.…”
