Effect of Different Nanomaterial Additions in Clay-Based Composites

Abstract: In this study, electromagnetic (EM) radiation shielding of a clay composite with three different admixtures was tested. Because of the rapid development of new modern technologies, human exposure to non-ionizing EM radiation has grown exponentially. This has aroused the interest of scientists to answer the question of how long-term exposure to EM radiation is harmful to human health. Due to potential risks to human health and an increasing number of studies that have concluded that long-term EM radiation can b… Show more

“…A brick's structural stability and open micro-structure result in mechanically robust nanomaterial composites. [40][41][42] In this work we mainly focused on the study of mechanical characteristics of clay bricks with significant addition of Graphite and Al 2 O 3 synthesis with the influence of the geometrical arrangement of the cavities of masonry hollow blocks on the mechanical characteristics which was investigated using COMSOL 5.5 multiphysics based on Finite element modelling (FEM). In this phase, The three replacement Nanomaterial brick composites were replaced with the appropriate blocks in the lab with or without the optimal geometrical arrangement of the block as determined by Comsol multiphysics.…”
