Abstract:Abstract— Electron‐beam processing of starting‐material ZnS increased the luminance derived from electroluminescent phosphors. As is shown in the paper, irradiation caused the formation of defects in ZnS that resulted in increased copper content in the phosphor due to the promotion of diffusion and the formation of additional “green” luminescence centers.
