Abstract:Plodia interpunctella (Hübner 1813) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) is a cosmopolitan species known to infest a wide range of dried plant materials, including legumes and cereals. In this study, enzyme activity and expression of alphaamylase gene in larval P. interpunctella grown on four different nutrition regimes was studied. The different nutrition regimes caused differential change in expression of alpha-amylase gene. Compared with the control (artificial diet), the walnut regime caused a 10.8% increase in expres… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
