Hadir dan musnahnya berbagai tumbuhan dan makhluh hidup lainnya terus terjadi dari waktu ke waktu. Setiap jaman memiliki bentuk kehidupannya sendiri-sendiri, sebagai cermin kondisi lingkungan global pada saat itu.
