“…The water contact angle measurements showed that the hydrophilic values increased from 54.4 to 74.5, which can be express at 36.94% with the inclusion of graphite particles. The woven bamboo fiber hybrid composites' tensile strength, flexural strength, and impact characteristics reached 32.78%, 27.37%, and 172.4%, respectively (Pulikkalparambil et al, 2023). Another analysis revealed that the silica nanoparticles contribute the most towards wear performance with a contribution ratio of 32.61% and a combination of 2 wt% of silica nanoparticles, 10 N normal load, 1.5 m/s sliding speed and 500 m sliding distance resulted in higher wear resistance (Singh et al, 2021).…”

“…An increase in global pollution due to overutilization of plastic products has impacted the environment, causing pollution in the air, water, and soil. 1,2 Among various plastic wastes the PET bottle waste is a high predominant one and the production and use of PET bottles are consistently increasing worldwide. 3,4 However, this increased consumption of PET bottles might create pollution in the environment.…”

“…Several authors have explored the effect of MWCNTs on the mechanical and thermal properties of composites [11,12,[15][16][17][18]. Zhao et al [16] investigated the influence of MWCNTs when mixed into the matrix and fiber of carbon-fiber-reinforced composites.…”

“…Dilfi et al [18] analyzed the effect of MWCNTs in ramie-fiber-reinforced composites using two types of chemical treatments, alkaline and silane, to facilitate the coupling of the nanotube with the fiber and reported that the incorporation of nanotubes in the composites led to a significant enhancement in the mechanical and thermal properties of these materials. Pulikkalparambil et al [17] investigated the effect of Graphite (Gr) nanoparticles in bamboo-fiber-reinforced composites. The composites studied were bamboo-fiber-reinforced composite (EP/BF), bamboo-fiber-reinforced composite + 1 wt% of Gr (EP/BFGr1), bamboo-fiber-reinforced composite + 3 wt% of Gr (EP/BFGr3), bamboo-fiber-reinforced composite + 5 wt% of Gr (EP/BFGr5), and bamboofiber-reinforced composite + 10 wt% Gr (EP/BFGr10).…”
