Abstract:This study investigated the effects of the Securidaca longepedunculata Fres. (Polygalaceae) lyophilized root aqueous extract on calcium signaling in rat cultured skeletal muscle cells. In Africa, this plant is used to treat snakebites, to calm inflammation, and to cure antibacterial infections.
