Abstract:Background: Dyslipidemia is a significant modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular disease. In type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients, elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels were associated with an increased risk of ischemic stroke and an increased risk of cardiovascular mortality independent of LDL-C levels.
