Abstract:Background: Pharmacotherapy of insomnia is prescribed often but may be complicated by drug dependence. Cognitivebehavioral therapy for insomnia is effective, but requires time to take effect. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is effective for depression but of uncertain benefit for insomnia.
