Effect of Management Intervention Program on Intensive Care Unit Staff Nurses’ Shift Change Process at El Menshawy Hospital

Abstract

Background: Shift change is a nursing care process, and communication core element in this process especially during the transfer of information. Steps of shift change process include identification, situation, background, assessment and recommendation play an important role in transferring responsibility and accountability in patient care from outgoing shifts to incoming shifts. Unfortunately shift change shift change education still nonexistent or inadequate.
