Additionally, an epidemiologic study on occupational Mn-exposed workers demonstrated that excessive Mn exposure caused an imbalance in the thyroid hormones via decreasing the serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), testosterone (TST), prolactin (PRL), and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) concentrations [15].
