Abstract:The behaviour of metastable pitting and its effect on stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in 2205 duplex stainless steel (DSS) welded joints were investigated through microstructure characterisation, immersion experiments, electrochemical experiments and slow strain rate tensile (SSRT) experiments.
