Effect ofpH treatment onK-shell x-ray intensity ratios andK-shell x-ray-production cross sections in ZnCo alloys

Abstract: In this study, empirical and semiempirical K-shell fluorescence yields (ω K ) and Kβ/Kα intensity ratios from the available experimental data for elements with 23 Z 30 were calculated to compare them with elements in different alloys. The experimental data are fitted using the quantity [ω K /(1 − ω K )] 1/4 vs Z to deduce the empirical K-shell fluorescence yields and Kβ/Kα intensity ratios. The empirical and semiempirical K-shell fluorescence yield values were used to calculate the K x-ray-production cross-sec… Show more

“…The prepared thin films were placed in the experimental geometry to be stimulated by radioactive source and to count the characteristic X-rays that occurred. The geometry of experimental set-up and the calibration process are the same as in our previous studies [1,[27][28][29] and the produced thin films were irradiated with 5.96 keV energy X-rays released from a filtered 55 Fe radioactive annular source which has 50 mCi activity. For each prepared sample, the measurement time is selected as 5000 seconds to obtain statistical sensitivity.…”

“…The spectra analysis was performed according to the defined procedures in our earlier papers. [63][64][65]69] Figure 1A and 1B show a typical Ti and Mn K X-ray spectrum, respectively. The r 2 value can be inspected and this value is almost 0.99 for the whole range and measurements.…”
