Abstract: This paper presents the excitation of an upper hybrid wave by resonant excitation of two intense cosh-Gaussian laser beams of frequencies ω1 and ω2 in a collisionless plasma. The excited upper hybrid wave is used for electron acceleration which accelerates the electrons towards higher energy. The acceleration of electrons through an excited upper hybrid wave has also been studied.
