Effect of Ni content on the properties and hot cracking susceptibility of Al–Fe–Mg–Zn–xNi alloys for high conductivity demanding applications

Abstract: Because conventional Al-Si-based casting alloys are not suitable for high conductivity demanding parts, such as light-emitting diode lamp heat sink, the need for new high-conductivity aluminium alloys containing no Si became obvious.
