Effect of Ni-MOF Derivatives on the Electrochemical Corrosion Behavior of Sn-0.7Cu Solders

Abstract: The corrosion resistance of solder joints is a critical factor affecting the service life of electronic products during long-term operation. In this study, the corrosion behavior of Sn-0.7Cu-xNi@C (x = 0, 0.04, 0.08, and 0.12 wt.%) composite solders was investigated using a Tafel polarization curve in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution, and the result demonstrated that it was the Ni@C that enhanced the corrosion resistance of the composite solder. The corrosion rate of the composite solders decreased with increasing Ni@C … Show more

“…Multi-metallic MOFs not only have the properties and applications of mono-metallic MOFs, but also provide better physicochemical properties in most applications due to the synergistic effect of multi-metallic. [25][26][27] Also, by changing the ratio of metals used in multi-metallic MOFs, their physical and chemical properties can be changed.. [28][29][30] The purpose of this research is to make a smart coating containing an inhibitor to increase the corrosion resistance of SS in 3.5 % NaCl solution. In this regard, the possibility of encapsulating the 3-amino-1H-1,2,4-triazole (3-AT) in Cu-Ni bimetallic MOF (BMOF), as a smart nanocontainer, has been investigated.…”
