“…To capture the perspectives of nonliterate individuals who use AAC, it would be beneficial to engage with families and caregivers to gather their perspectives about both active and passive recreational pursuits. In addition, although some research has focused on training volunteers in recreation (Hajjar et al, 2020), additional research would be beneficial about broad communication partner training directed toward recreational stakeholders.
