Effect of Organic compost on Chemical Parameters for Two Varieties of Tomato Plant (Solanum esculentium L.)

Abstract: The experiment conducted during 2018-2019 to study effect of added 15 and 30 t.h-1 level of three kinds of decomposing organic fertilizers on some chemical properties for two varieties of tomato (Red flower F1 and Waad RZ) in field of agricultural experiments station college of Agriculture, University of Basrah. Results showed a significantly effect of hybrid (Red flower F1) compared with hybrid (Waad RZ) on leaves content of : Total chlorophyll, total N and total soluble carbohydrate, increased 10.6, 14.39 an… Show more

“…The applications of (stabilized) silicic acid, as foliar spray or as soil (drench) application (1 and 2 ml/L) resulted in proportional and significant increases in growth, yield and chemical parameters in tomato plants grown in silty clay pretreated with organic fertilizers [19]. The soil (drench) application of silicic acid 2 ml/L was more effective on the increase of the growth parameters during the vegetative stage, like the leaf surface [7,20] , the fresh and dry weight, and the chlorophyll content, as compared to the foliar spray amendments 2 ml/L.…”

“…Nutritional content of each fish was influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic aspects. intrinsic aspects are the species, gender, size, age, and reproductive phase of the fish, while extrinsic aspects are environment of habitat, food availability, and the quality of the water where the fish live [25]. Fish categories were divided into four groups based on their lipid level.…”

“…In the human diet, fruits and vegetables are the most important phytochemical compounds. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables is well established for its effectiveness in promoting human health, especially regulating body weight (Estruch et al, 2013;Mozaffarian, 2016), On the other hand, the presence of lycopene in tomato increasing the importance of consuming it locally and in the entire world, as well as its high nutritional value (Aziz et al, 2019).…”
