Effect of Organic Manures and Biofertilizers on Growth, Yield and Quality of Pea (Pisum sativum L.)

Abstract: The present study was carried out at the Experimental Farm of College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri, Hamirpur (HP) during November, 2020 to March, 2021. Experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications at spacing of 60×10 cm in a plot size of 1.8×1.0 m accommodating 30 plants in each plot. “…The improvement in yield attributes through FYM + PM with grass mulch might be due to improved soil moisture holding capacity, soil moisture, and soil temperature; adequate availability of major and micronutrients due to favorable soil conditions; and an increase in the rate of photosynthesis, which further increases vegetative growth and yield by providing additional sites for the translocation of photosynthesis. These results are in accordance with the ndings of Kumar (2013) Okokoh and Bisong (2011) reported similar ndings that higher yields of roots in carrots were obtained when 15 t FYM ha − 1 and 15 t PM ha − 1 were used.
