Nie, Hao, Zhao, Zhou, and Zhu (2019) also modified the surface of bamboo biochars, pyrolyzed at 400 and 600°C, by H 2 O 2 for the adsorption of tetracycline and Cu 2+ . H 2 O 2 oxidation treatment increased O-containing functional groups on the biochar surface, which might facilitate electrostatic attraction and complexation between Cu 2+ and biochar thus enhanced the performance on soil remediation, that is, the oxidized biochar surface formed complexes with Cu 2+ , which increased the adsorption capacity of tetracycline.…”
