Effect of Phase Ratio on Hydrogen Separation of Dual‐phase Membrane Reactors

Abstract: Dedicated to Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Ju ¨rgen Caro on the occasion of his 70th birthday Three dual-phase MIEC membranes (100x) wt % Ce 0.8 Sm 0.2 O 1.9 (SDC)x wt % Sr 0.92 Ti 0.5 Fe 0.5 O 3-d (STF) (x = 30, 40, 50) were prepared by a one-pot solid state reaction to explore the effect of phase ratio of dual-phase membranes on the hydrogen separation performance of oxygen-permeable membrane reactors. Single-phase STF was synthesized by the same method for comparison. The grains of the two phases in the three dual-… Show more

“…61 Due to the good ionic conductivity of SDC, Ni-SDC has also been investigated as a catalytic layer, achieving both a decent hydrogen production rate and adequate stability. 60,68 Most catalysts used in WSR-MIEC membrane reactors are Ni-cermet, lacking in-depth and diverse research. In this regard, further work explored the catalytic effect of non-precious metal catalysts Fe, Co and Ni-based catalysts M-SDC (M = Fe, Co and Ni) for the WSR.…”
