Effect of Port Angle of Sen on Melt Flow in a Mold

Abstract: The molten metal from tundish is directed to continuous casting mold by submerged entry nozzle (SEN). The SEN is usually bifurcated nozzle, which is made of different shape and angle. The melt flow structure in mold plays an important role. Thus, port of SEN is made at different angles to control the melt structure.
