“…Recently there are many reports on optical properties of the materials, such as the K 2 YF 5 :Nd 3+ , K 2 YF 5 :Pr 3+ , K 2 YF 5 :Tm 3+ , K 2 GdF 5 :Tb 3+ , and K 2 GdF 5 :Dy 3+ crystals [1][2][3][5][6][7]. The authors have investigated the optical properties of these materials by using optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) [8], thermoluminescence [9], frequency upconversion fluorescence [3], site-selective laser-excitation spectroscopy [10].
