Effect of Preceding Crops, Seeding Rate, Bio and Mineral Nitrogen Fertilzer on Wheat Productivity.

Abstract: Two field experiments were conducted at Sers EL-Lian Agricultural Research Station (EL-Minufiya Governorate) during 2005 / 2006 and 2006 / 2007seasons to study the effect of some preceding summer crops (cotton, soybean and maize) ,seeding rates (50, 60 and 70 kg seeds / fed)and three treatments mineral and bio-Fertilization (70 kg mineral N/fed, 70 kg mineral N/fed + Cerialein500g/fed and 70 kg mineral N/fed + Cerialein750g/fed) / fed on grain yield ,yield components and protein yield of wheat cultivar Sakha 9… Show more

“…In addition to, gluten content depends on grain protein composition. Our results were obtained by Abd EL-Zaher et al (2009). The crop sequence of fallow land/wheat (84.84 and 84.96kg hl -1 ) produced the heaviest hectoliter weight followed by the sequence of sunflower/wheat (81.73 and 82.11kg hl -1 ) and the lowest value in this respect resulted from the sequence of soybean/wheat (80.53 and 80.42kg hl -1 ) in the two respective seasons.…”

“…Rich in nutrients, wheat encapsulates 12.6 grams of protein, 1.5 grams of fat, 71 grams of carbohydrates, 12.2 grams of dietary fiber and 3.2 mg of iron, a significant fraction being starch [2]. Previous research suggests that altering seed rates can significantly impact plant population, biomass accumulation, and yield parameters in wheat [3,4]. However, limited exploration exists concerning seed rates' efficacy specifically under late-sown scenarios.…”
