Superconductors D 8000Effect of Pt on the Superconducting and Magnetic Properties of ErNi2B2C. -The superconducting transition temperatures T C and magnetic ordering temperatures TN of Er(Ni1-xPtx)2B2C (x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) samples are measured. TC decreases rapidly as a function of x for initial values 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.10 (TC ≈ 10.6 K for x = 0 and 7.3 K for x = 0.1), and reaches a plateau thereafter. TN shows a slight, almost linear decrease over the entire range of x.
