Abstract-This research aims at conducting an investigation about medical plants written in Usadha manuscript (Balinese traditional healing text). The medical plants are ingredients for making herbal namely loloh.The sample was selected purposively from several sources. Usadha text about medical plants were analyzed by content analysis. The text data about Usadha was recorded from the traditional healers (balian) by using in-depth interviews. Data about potential consumers of the herbal medicine, loloh, were obtained from vocational school teachers and lecturers through questionnaire technique. Finding in this research is the enhancement of herbal loloh research not merely about the ingredients but also about the educational sight and the value of caring of the health of reproductive organs.

Indonesia dikenal akan kearifan lokal dengan potensi pangan fungsional berupa minuman-minuman tradisional.Produk minuman tradisional dibuat dari ekstraksi bahan alami seperti rimpang jahe dan temulawak, daun tanaman kumis kucing, serta kayu secang.Kemampuan bioaktif minuman salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh efektivitas ekstraksi komponen fitokimia dari bahan-bahan minuman.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan proses ekstraksi yang optimal dari bahan-bahan minuman tradisional Indonesia, yaitu kumis kucing, secang, jahe dan temulawak. Optimasi waktu ekstraksi daun tanaman kumis kucing dan kayu secang dikembangkan menggunakan Response Surface Methodology dengan software Design Expert 7,0. Proses ekstraksi optimum dari daun tanaman kumis kucing dan kayu secang didapatkan selama 30 menit pemanasan dalam air dengan perbandingan bahan dan air 1:25. Persamaan matematika dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi total fenol dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak. Peningkatan skala menyebabkan penurunan aktivitas antioksidan dan total fenol pada ekstrak daun tanaman kumis kucing dan kayu secang. Pada skala pilot plant nilai aktivitas antioksidan 2508,9 ppm AEAC dan total fenol 926,6 ppm GAE untuk ekstrak kumis kucing dan nilai aktivitas antioksidan 1601,7 ppm AEAC dan total fenol 1319,9 ppm GAE untuk ekstrak kayu secang. Efisiensi dan efektivitas proses ekstraksi jahe diperoleh melalui pemblansiran dengan direndam air panas (90-95oC) selama 3 menit, sedangkan temulawak tidak perlu dilakukan pemblansiran. Ekstraksi jahe dengan cara tersebut mampu memberikan total fenol 2294,6 ppm GAE dan rendemen 61,1%. Prosedur ekstraksi optimum pada temulawak memberikan total fenol ekstrak 5621,8 ppm GAE dan rendemen 46,9%. Ekstrak optimum yang didapatkan dapat digunakan untuk formulasi minuman fungsional dengan berbagai manfaat bagi kesehatan

Celecoxib may improve clinical symptoms, alleviate pain and contribute to little or no difference in physical function compared with placebo. Celecoxib was associated with fewer numbers of participant withdrawals. Results for incidence of gastroduodenal ulcers (≥ 3 mm) and short-term serious adverse events were uncertain; however, there were few reported events for either.Celecoxib may slightly improve clinical symptoms compared with tNSAIDs. Results for reduced pain and improved physical function were uncertain. Particpants taking celecoxib had lower incidence of gastroduodenal ulcers (≥ 3 mm) and there were fewer withdrawals from trials. Results for cardiovascular events and short-term serious adverse events were also uncertain.Uncertainty about the rate of cardiovascular events between celecoxib and tNSAIDs could be due to risk of bias; another factor is that these were small, short-term trials. It has been reported previously that both celecoxib and tNSAIDs increase cardiovascular event rates. Our confidence in results about harms is therefore low. Larger head-to-head clinical trials comparing celecoxib to other tNSAIDs is needed to better inform clinical practice.
