EFFECT OF SEED TREATMENT VERSUS FIELD SPRAYING ON GROWTH AND YIELD PERFORMANCE OF MAIZE (Zea Mays)

Abstract: This experiment examined the effect of seed treatment versus field spraying on the agronomic performance of three new maize varieties in Abeokuta. These maize varieties were 1) DMR-ESR-Y 2) SAMMAZ 15 and, 3) OBA SUPER 2. Treatments were 1) Control 2) Seed treatment with Dressforce (Active ingredient Imidacloprid) 3) Seedling spraying with Cypermethrin.
