Effect of Spandex on Physical Properties of Different Construction Knit Fabric

Abstract

Fabrics are generally four in types .Among them knit fabric are cheaper, comfortable and widely used all over the world. But knit fabric physical properties rapidly change during processing due its loop shape construction .So industrial experts always gives attention on how physical properties change. Basic knit construction single jersey (plain) and double jersey (rib) were used. These constructions with spandex and without spandex were taken. Physical properties like wpc, cpc, GSM, bursting strength and spirality were tested .These properties also analyzed and compared. Changes of physical properties on knit fabric were observed and compared due to use of spandex.
