Effect of steroid therapy on postoperative course and survival of patients with thoracic esophageal carcinoma

Abstract: Background. Perioperative steroid therapy has been shown to be safe and effective in inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators and reducing postoperative hospital morbidity.
