Abstract:Isatin (2,3-dioxindole) is a benzopyrrole derivative that belongs to a large class of heterocyclic chemicals. Isatin derivatives are essential synthetic substrates that can be utilized as starting materials to build a wide range of heterocycles with diverse applications in pharmaceutical sciences.
