“…The speed of sound values have been experimentally obtained at 288.15, 298.15, 308.15, and 318.15 K for the aqueous niacin solutions and the ternary mixture (niacin + distilled water + poly­(ethylene glycol)­s) at concentrations of 0.07, 0.08, and 0.09 mol·kg –1 and are depicted in Table . The values for the speed of sound of (distilled water + poly­(ethylene glycol)­s) is directly taken from our previous paper and is compared with the literature ,, for (PEG 400 + distilled water) that is represented in Figure b from which it can be deduced that the nature of the increase in the speed of sound values against their respective temperatures and concentrations in both the cases shows a similar pattern. The experimental c (speed of sound) values for (distilled water + niacin) are compared with the literature values , at temperatures 298.15 and 308.15 K, which are represented graphically in Figure , and it is observed that the speed of sound values increase along with the concentrations of niacin from 0.07 to 0.08 to 0.09 mol·kg –1 and temperature, hence exhibiting a similar trend as that in the literature.…”
