Effect of Temperature on Wear Behavior of Multilayered Thin Cr-Coated Acrylonitrile–Butadiene–Styrene Polymer: An Experimental and Prediction Study

Abstract: The wear behavior of thin chromium-coated and uncoated acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene (ABS) samples were investigated by using a pin-on-disk test apparatus with a heat chamber for different temperatures of 30°C, 50°C, 70°C, 90°C, and 110°C. The wear tracks were characterized with a scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and widefield confocal microscope.
