Effect of the charge state on the photoluminescence spectra of melanin

Abstract: Steady-state and time-resolved photoluminescence (PL) spectra of natural and synthetic melanin, as well as melanin composites with surfactant, sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, and polymethine dye, astraphloxin, have been studied.
