Effect of the Crosslinking Degree on Self‐Healing Poly(1,2,3‐Triazolium) Adhesive

Abstract: Dynamic covalent materials are a class of polymer that could be stress-relaxation, reprocessable, and self-healing due to dynamic crosslinks in network. Dynamic crosslinks play an important role in the typical characteristic of self-healing polymers. It is meaningful to understand the effect of crosslinking degree on the properties of poly(1,2,3-triazolium) (PTAM). In this article, the dynamic covalent network of PTAM adhesive has been used to study the effect of crosslinking degree. A series of PTAM adhesive … Show more

“…This observation confirms the formation of a crosslinked network within PTAM through 1,2,3‐triazolium. Only a minor fraction of PTAM (5.89%) dissolved in DMF, presumably due to the presence of uncrosslinked structures or oligomers 38 . According to the results of DSC, FTIR, XPS, and swelling test, it was demonstrated that PTAM with dynamic reversible crosslinked 1,2,3‐triazolium was obtained successfully.…”

“…1,2,3‐triazolium is synthesized via an N ‐alkylation reaction between 1,2,3‐triazole and an alkylating agent. According to the influence of content and structure of 1,2,3‐triazolium on the properties of PTAM, 38,39 DBH was selected as alkylating agent and the content of DBH was set to 25 mol% of BPEOB for the preparation of reprocessable PTAM.…”

“…The stability of the internal crosslinking network of the polymer has a very important impact on the service life and dimensional stability of the material. 8,39 Therefore, to further characterize the stability of the internal crosslinking network of PASC materials, we characterized the room temperature stability of PASC-IPDI-IPDH-3 in conventional solvents. As shown in Fig.…”
