Abstract:Background and Purpose
In patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) undergoing intravenous thrombolysis (IVT), there are few studies assessing the predictive effect of blood cell inflammatory markers on stroke-associated pneumonia (SAP), short-term and long-term prognosis. In this study, we evaluated whether the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) can predict SAP and functional prognosis in patients receiving IVT.
Methods
We assessed 388 patients undergoing IVT for acute ischemic stroke. Blood parameters we… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
