Effect of UFC on the Microscopic Pore Structure of Cemented Soil in Humic Acid Environment

Abstract: Peat soil is widely distributed in the Dianchi Lake area of Yunnan, and the effect of the cement deep-mixing method on peat soil foundation is mainly affected by humic acid (HA). In this paper, a composite cement curing agent is formed by adding different proportions of ultra-fine cement (UFC) to ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and used to cure the HA-containing cohesive soil. Mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) are used to study the influe… Show more

“…The related scholarsʹ research results show that the cementʹs hydration product is mainly C-S-H. The diffraction angles 2θ corresponding to the XRD pattern are generally 29.1°, 31.8°, 49.8°, and 54.9° [35][36][37][38]. (a-c) in Figure 7 indicate that the XRD patterns show the presence of C-S-H, C-A-S-H(ICDD-PDF:18-0276), and C-A-H(ICDD-PDF:12-0408).…”

“…The PCAS software divides the pores of the SEM image and obtains the characteristic pore data of the HA-containing cemented soil. In this paper, for the convenience of analysis, according to the pore characteristics of HA-containing cemented soil, this paper defines pores with a pore diameter greater than 10 µm as macropores [43,49]. The test results show that increasing the UFC proportion can improve the microstructure of cemented soil.…”
