Abstract:Introduction: Self-care and self-management skills are at the forefront of disease management skills in individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. An individual with diabetes who defines his/her self-care well will have increased his/her disease management skills as well as self-management skills to the desired level. The aim of this study is to evaluate the self-management skills of individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes receiving insulin therapy according to their sociodemographic characteristics.
