“…When calcined above 600 °C, the diffraction peak of a small angle gradually disappears, and the MOF-74 skeleton collapses, corresponding to (200), (220), (311), and (222) crystal planes of MgO at 2θ = 42.9°, 62.3°, 74.6°, and 78.5°, respectively . For Mg–N–C600/700/800, it can be seen that the carbonized sample shows a wide diffraction peak at 2θ = 37–43°, corresponding to the graphite-like (002) and (101) crystal planes, and the large peak width range indicates that the degree of graphitization is relatively dispersed . The FTIR spectra of Mg–N–CX cover the wavelength range of 4000–500 cm –1 (Figure S4).…”

“…When the calcination temperature is 900 °C, the number of surface faces of the material reaches the maximum and the distribution is more uniform. However, as the calcination temperature rises to 1000 °C, the specific surface area decreases, which is because the C element will disappear at higher temperatures, and 1000 °C will destroy the frame and further cause the collapse of the composite skeleton . Therefore, the temperature plays a crucial role in determining the morphology of such composites.…”
