Abstract:RNA sequencing technology combining short read and long read analysis can be used to detect chimeric RNAs in malignant cells. Here, we propose an integrated approach that uses k-mers to analyze indexed datasets. This approach is used to identify chimeric RNA in chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) cells, a myeloid malignancy that associates features of myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative neoplasms. In virtually every CMML patient, new generation sequencing identifies one or several somatic driver mutation… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
