Effective Tensor of the Relaxation Kernels of a Layered Medium Consisting of a Viscoelastic Material and a Viscous Incompressible Fluid
V. V. Shumilova
Abstract:The explicit formulas for calculating the components of the effective tensor of relaxation kernels of a two-phase layered medium with a periodic microstructure are derived. The first phase of such a medium consists of an isotropic viscoelastic material and the second phase consists of a viscous incompressible fluid. In particular, it is established that the components of this tensor depend on the volume fraction of the fluid inside a periodicity cell and do not depend on the number of layers and the distances … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
