Effective throughput of alternate rician shadowed fading links

Abstract: The performance of effective throughput (ET) over alternate Rician-shadowed fading channels is analyzed. A novel expression for the exact ET is obtained in terms of the Meijer's G function. Moreover, an asymptotic ET expression at the high signalto-noise ratio regime is also derived to gain more insight.
