Abstract:Typhoid fever is a systemic infection associated with fever that is most often caused by Salmonella typhi, which remains a serious problem in developing countries. Once the bacteria are ingested, it quickly multiplies within the stomach, liver, or gallbladder and finally enters the bloodstream, causing symptoms such as fever and headache.
