Antibiotics/feed additives are generally used in poultry rations, to improve the performance efficiency of broilers and laying hens, preventing diseases and increasing feed efficiency. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of a combination of plant extracts as an alternative antibiotic growth promoter on chicken performance and Escherichia coli in caecum. The study were used 100 DOC which were divided into 10 treatments, 2 replications with 5 hens each replications. The combination consisted of extracts between Phyllanthus niruri L : Anacardium officinale shell liquid smoke: Syzygium aromaticum leaf extract designed with Completely Randomized Design with the following treatment: P1(TTT), P2(SSS), P3(RRR), P4(TTS), P5(TSR), P6(SRT), P7(SSR), P8(PRC), P9(Zn-bacitrasin 0.05%), P10 (Control). The results showed that the combination of extracts P. niruri L.: A. officinale shell liquid liquid: S. aromaticum leaf extract was not significantly different from Zn-basitracin treatment on performance, feed conversion, total bacteria, and E. coli population. It was concluded that the combination of extracts of Phyllanthus niruri L.: liquid smoke of Anacardium officinale shell: Syzygium aromaticum leaf extract at all doses did not significant with Zn-bacitracin antibiotic treatment on body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion, total bacteria, and total Escherichia coli.
