Abstract: In this study, the effectiveness of blended learning on the learning of civil engineering students during the COVID-19 pandemic was evaluated at a rural university in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The imposition of lockdown due to the global spread of COVID-19 left educational institutions with no choice but to find alternative methods of teaching and learning.
