The study used experimental research design to randomly selected senior high school students in analysing their attitude and achievement in statistics when contextual teaching is implemented. In addition to structured questionnaires, semi-structured interviews with the students were also conducted to provide rich descriptions about learning experiences with contextual teaching. Results revealed that students have positive attitude towards statistics and that students learn better with contextualized instruction than direct instruction. With this, contextualized instruction must be promoted in teaching statistics. By linking it to the real world, students would be able to view statistics more than just a subject. Thus, it makes the statistical hypothesis testing learning more enjoyable and exciting.

The practice of contextual learning in Indonesia is a method that is often used. This study aims to determine the average value of elementary school students with contextual learning. Meta-analysis is used to calculate the average score of elementary school students with contextual learning. The scope of the article is contextual learning research conducted on elementary school students in Indonesia. The publication year is limited to 2016 to 2021. This study uses 44 data sources for articles and theses with the result that the aggregate proportion of students who complete their studies with contextual learning is around 79.25. These results prove that contextual learning can obtain learning outcomes above the national minimum completeness criteria.

Lecturers and students of the Biology Education sProgram of Teachers Training and Education Faculty of Mulawarman University have conducted a lot of research in field of entomology including use of natural resources from tropical rain forest as organic pesticides. Unfortunately, they have not been widely used as a source of learning sources in teaching and learning of entomology subjects. The purpose of this study was to develop an entomology handout based on research on the natural resources from tropical rain forest. This research is a research development using ADDIE model. This research conducted analyzing, designing and developing of the entomology handout. The handout was validated by media and content experts. The results showed that the handout was made based on student needs on the entomology courses, the validity of media was very valid and the validity of the content was quite valid. It can be concluded that the entomology handout was feasible used in teaching and learning.
