Abstract:Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an autosomal recessive genetic disease characterized by mutations in the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene. The CF phenotype is characterized by lung disease, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, impaired growth, hepatobiliary manifestations, and male infertility.
