E-training refers to virtual, web-based training programs. Organizations are increasingly adopting e-training tools and methods for human resource management (HRM). This study aims to describe the role of e-training and its tools in the learning and development of employees across organizations. Data were collected from the SCOPUS database, identifying 80 publications on e-training through keyword searches. Performance analysis was conducted using bibliometric methods, identifying relevant sources, authors, and countries, along with thematic and factorial evolution. Various problems, challenges, tools, and technologies were identified based on the literature. This study aims to guide and assist learning and development practitioners, scholars, and HR managers in understanding the significance of e-training methods and tools in HRM.
