“…The overall picture emerged that women SHGs in Uttarakhand were not very effective in improving their economic status and in generating any new enterprise. Basera and Bhardwaj (2017) after analyzing the effect of low-cost communication packages in terms of gain in knowledge showed that almost half of the respondents (56.25%) acquired medium level of knowledge. The socio-economic variables age, caste, marital status, family type and family size were negatively and non-significantly correlated with gain in knowledge.…”
