Abstract:Background: Anemia contributes to increased pregnancy-associated morbidity and mortality; hence warranting rapid correction. Parenteral ferric carboxymaltose (FCM) has FDA and DCGI approval for use in pregnancy-linked iron-deficiency anemia, with minimal and nonserious side effects.
